Navigating the Site

When mousing over a heading or hyperlink on the site and a white hand appears, click to open that page or document. To save a document, right click on the link and select 'Save Target As..' to save a copy of the file direct to your hard drive.

Using the navigation menu on the left hand side of each page, clicking on any of the main headings will drop down a sub-menu allowing you to choose a number of sub headings relating to various information areas in that subsection.

We have also provided a Site Map of the website for easy reference and access to all of the main areas and subsections of the site.

If you cannot find the document or page you're looking for, you can also use the search tool located at the top right hand side of each page. If you require greater searching functionality the advanced searching option is also available.

Site Software

This site was designed to be viewed with a screen setting of 1024 x 768. The NEMMCO website is best viewed with Microsoft Internet Explorer version 6 or higher, or with Mozilla Firefox version 2 or higher. Documents are published in Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) and require the Adobe Reader Version 5.0 or higher.

Printing Problems

When printing an Adobe Acrobat file through a web browser, you must choose print from the ACROBAT toolbar, and not from the BROWSER toolbar. The latter will result in the first page printed only.

 

Downloading & Viewing Problems

If you are experiencing problems whilst trying to view or download a file from this site, please first check that you are using the correct version of Adobe Reader (MINIMUM version 5.0 or higher). You also may need to check that your computer recognises that the Adobe Reader opens these files.

Often a file will not open/download successfully, for a variety of reasons. Prior to making another attempt, you MUST clear your cache. Memory cache is your computer's way of saving time by keeping a local copy of the page you are visiting, therefore if there was any form of corruption on the cached copy, you must first clear this from your computer before you are able to have success. To do this, simply click on your "refresh" button in your web browser. For an even deeper refresh, hold down the control key as you refresh.

Often it is more efficient to save the file to your hard drive and then open it manually through Adobe Reader, particularly if it is a large file. To do this, right-click on "Click here to View PDF" and you will be given the option to "save file as". Proceed to name the file and allocate it to a directory on your computer.
