Pricing Event Reports are published to inform the market within four business days about the reasons why regional reference prices have exceeded $300/MWh in a trading interval. A major market disturbance or event where detailed review of market performance is warranted will be followed up with a Market Event Report when investigations are completed.

• NEMMCO has established procedures to identify Dispatch Intervals that have been affected by manifestly incorrect inputs to the Market Dispatch Engine (NEMDE). National Electricity Rule 3.9.2B(g) requires NEMMCO to publish a report for each instance where the procedures lead to dispatch interval prices being replaced. This Rule came into effect from 1 June 2006.

The introduction of the Direction Review changes to the National Electricity Rules, on 9 December 2002, require NEMMCO, pursuant to clause 3.13.6A, to publish reports providing background information related to directions issued to Registered Participants.
